Cowtown Soul: New Blog

Hi, and welcome to Cowtown Soul! This blog is currently a work in progress, and if you received an invitation to view it, you are among the elite few... Once it's up and running, more will be invited to participate.

The purpose of this site is to simply share whatever you wish in terms of training for a Fort Worth Cowtown event: frustrations, success stories, questions, insights, irritations, whatever. Just keep it (relatively) clean, and please do not use this site to make personal attacks. Feel free to voice whatever you need to say, but keep in mind you are speaking to an audience. Use this site to recruit others for a spontaneous run, or to make plans other than running. We're a well-rounded group so we encourage outside socializing.... The creator of this blog strongly supports Fort Worth Running Company, but diversity is a good thing, so if you have a friend you'd like to add who isn't aware of FWRunCo, run it by the moderator and it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for your patience. If you try to post and it doesn't work yet, please come back! Settings and security are still being adjusted. In the meantime, have a happy holiday and a fantastic 2009!

  2. Blog was a great idea Jan! We have 10 more weeks to convince our bodies they can do something amazing. Looking forward to running with all of you when I return from training in exile over the holidays!

  3. Matt, where will you be training over the holidays?? Stay warm!

Z-Man, hook up with some of our group for Saturday's run if you want. Shoot them an email or maybe they'll look on here. I'm hoping Jason's hamstring has improved? If you end up wanting to go Sunday, let me know. I'll probably do around 10 -- I'll be tired from driving and fat from eating.....

  4. Doin some runs in Longview and I'm going to visit Roger in Hot Springs. I have to run from the wild razorback hogs there (that's great speedwork). I need to get my long runs back up. Have fun over Christmas.

  5. I have the flu and am so frustrated. 0 runs this week and feel worse about that than being sick. I plan to run Sun. I shouldn't be contagious then. You all rock with your holiday runs! I'm jealous

  6. Things like that happen. Most important thing is to get well...don't push it too soon and make it string out for 2-3 weeks. I've done that more than once. If you have fever do not run. If you don't, run short and easy until you know you are well. Good luck.
